Cristian Chironi fait de l'habiter un geste critique et poétique : renonçant à la propriété, il investit les architectures de Le Corbusier comme postes d'observation pour interroger mémoire, transmission et paysage. Face a l'inaccessibilité de la Villa Baizeau (unique construction de Le Corbusier sur le continent africain) il en fait une métaphore du seuil, de la distance et de l'imaginaire habité. L'exposition présente collages et installations restituant la Villa Baizeau telle qu'elle est « habitée mentalement » par l'artiste, ouvrant de nouvelles lectures du modernisme Corbuséen. Un livre accompagnant l'exposition sera publié par les éditions Lenz.

Cristian Chironi transforms the act of inhabiting into a critical and poetic gesture: by renouncing ownership, he uses Le Corbusier's buildings as vantage points from which to explore memory, transmission and landscape. Faced with the inaccessibility of Villa Baizeau, he turns it into a metaphor for the threshold, distance and the inhabited imagination. The exhibition presents collages and installations that recreate Villa Baizeau as it is 'mentally inhabited by the artist, opening up new interpretations of Le Corbusier's modernism. A book accompanying the exhibition will be published by Lenz.
